Tony Kofi Presents: The Thelonious Monk Orchestra at Town Hall with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra

One of the most recorded jazz composers of all time, Monk made numerous contributions to the standards canon, including ‘Straight No Chaser’, ‘Round Midnight’, ‘Blue Monk'.  ‘The Thelonious Monk Orchestra at Town Hall’ is a seminal recording, released in 1959. Directed by renowned saxophonist Tony Kofi, the NYJO celebrates this powerful work with a stellar dectet of emerging UK talent.
